Jesus commissioned His disciples to bear witness to the gospel in their local community, their region, and to the ends of the earth. At Faith we seek to be faithful to Pen Lucy, the community where we worship; Baltimore, the city where God has called us to live and worship; and our world, which He loves.
In this calling to serve Pen Lucy and Baltimore, we commit to working together as a multi-ethnic body to proclaim the Good News of Jesus with Biblical integrity through culturally sensitive means. We believe the church is called to be the redemptive presence of Christ through concrete deeds of mercy and justice. This Good News of Jesus affirms dignity, cultivates an environment of hope, and restores people to God through Christ and to service in God’s Kingdom and world.
Faith Christian Fellowship has various mercy ministries led by the volunteers within the church through the diaconate. There are about 250 members within the congregation, and on average 200-250 regularly volunteer in various church ministries intended to meet the needs of individuals on regular and annual basis.
The church hosts City in Park, which is a regular outreach ministry to community members.
There are food services available including a food pantry open to all who request, the Meal Makers program, which provides meals for members in crisis situations, and the Christmas Food Basket ministry, which provides a Christmas meal for as needed.
Transportation service for church members is provided as needed.
The church also hosts the annual Advent Bazaar featuring crafts, artwork, and baked goods. Proceeds from the Advent Bazaar go towards the Deacon’s Fund for under-resourced families.
The church also owns two buildings nearby. One has 44 rooms for homeless and fostered persons, and the other has 22 rooms for women at risk.
