Grace Church Mercy Ministries
Deacons and Deaconesses at Grace Church are actively involved and encourage members to participate in mercy ministries. Unemployment and socio-economic depression is high in Dover City. Grace typically aids 5-6 people from the community each week seeking food, clothing, shelter, rental deposit, and energy bills.
Grace Church also hosts outreach events for The Hamlet housing development community in Dover. Free BBQ, music, and festival activities are provided, as well as amenities from Wellspring, which offers various free medical advice and services.

Arise Delaware exists to equip those facing adversity to discover hope, overcome barriers, and move forward. Arise is a para-church mercy organization specializing in long-term, relationship-based, development programs. Focus is given to individuals who are affected by disability and their family/support system.
Grace for Dover began at Grace Church around 2008 under the guidance of Pastor Kenny Foster. Grace for Dover offered Jobs for Life and Capernaum (later Embrace), a service ministering to persons with disabilities. Once Grace for Dover was running successfully for many years, a CEO was sought and became a separate organization no longer under Grace Church. Arise Delaware remains a mission supported by Grace Church. Many of the services offered by Arise Delaware are held at Grace Church, including respite night once a month, and many members of Grace Church are actively involved at Arise.

Each Christmas, low-income families are faced with the pressure of how to provide gifts for their children. Through year-round donations of new toys and gift items, the Christmas Store shelves are stocked with a variety of toys, books, games, and more ranging from $1 – $10, making it possible for these families to share the joy of giving and have the dignity of making the purchases themselves. Held the first Saturday of December, this opportunity is available to all who have need and no income verification is required.
