Joining The Network

The New City Network is a coalition of churches and ministries that are urban, cross-cultural, include the poor, have joyful worship, and provide sound, biblical preaching. We share these values, and we also seek to share our knowledge, our resources, and our expertise. We believe we are better together.

If your church or ministry aligns with these values, then we invite you to apply for membership.

What We Provide

You are in the thick of ministry. You can barely keep your head above water. You are trying to faithfully work out the vision that God has entrusted to you. You need encouragement and support. You need someone to pull you up for air. You need someone who can give you practical support and training.

The New City Network can help.

Site Visits

And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit the brothers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.” Acts 15:36

Members of The New City Network may request a Site Visit by one of our experienced staff members. We try to schedule our travel to various parts of the country by region, in order to visit several ministries in the same general area during one trip.

There are primarily three ways we can come alongside your church or ministry.

1) Training

Our staff have extensive experience in the following areas and can provide high quality training for you and your team. We have trained church officers (elders and deacons), staff, non-profit boards, church members, and volunteers.

2) Speaking

We have spoken for mission conferences of various types; general missions, home and urban missions, or banquets to support or initiate specific ministries. Our ordained staff are also available to preach for you while we are in town.

3) Consultation

We can provide consultation about many different areas of urban and cross-cultural ministry.

  • Planting an inner city/urban church among the poor
  • How to create economic and community development ministries
  • Creating and using faith based non-profits to extend ministry
  • Church-based mercy ministry
  • Outreach and evangelistic ministries in your community
  • How to prepare and develop cross cultural worship
  • Specific ministry issues, i.e., staff relationships, community relationships, supporting church relationships, etc.
  • Urban mission teams.

Conferences

We invite churches to take note of the annual conferences that we host or participate in.

What We Expect

Member churches and organizations are asked to financially support the work of The New City Network through an annual gift of $1000. These funds will allow the ministry to continue to plant, grow, and encourage urban churches that pursue the poor.

We also want your participation. Make it a goal to attend at least one Network conference or event each year with your team. Get on the Site Visit schedule and make use of the resources that we offer to your ministry directly.

Testimonials

“Randy inspired us in vision and joy for disciplining the lost and poor into the church!”
— Brett Barbee, Strongtower Fellowship, Macon, GA

Randy and Joan once led the Lead Servant Training for the Village Church. Their training on cross-cultural worship was so helpful to many of our church leaders who left mono-cultural churches to be part of The Village.
— Alex Shipman, The Village Church, Huntsville, AL

“Randy is part cheerleader, part coach, and part mascot. He’s rooting for us, teaching us, and inspiring us to keep in step with the Spirit, pressing toward the goal of being a cross-cultural church for the glory of God.”
— JP Sibley, New City Fellowship, Orangeburg, SC

Please feel free to ask us for references concerning our previous presentations and training efforts. We have many years of actual ministry experience in the subjects mentioned above. If you would like to have us come to help you in some way please contact Randy Nabors or Mr. Robert Blevins for scheduling and arrangements or go to Contact.
