Urban Ministry Training Week

The New City Network and Urban & Mercy Ministries of Mission to North America (PCA) is hosting an Urban Ministry Training Institute at New City Fellowship Glenwood, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The training will take place Monday, Memorial Day, May 27-May 31, 2019.
THIS TRAINING is for anyone who desires to know more about urban and cross-cultural worship and ministry. It’s for anyone who wants to grow in their theology and methodology of mercy ministry. It’s for anyone who wants to learn techniques of sharing the Gospel and discipling others, no matter the age, cultural or socio-economic background.

COST: $150.00 for the week which covers your food and training materials, and transportation as needed.
HOUSING: We will request housing with families at New City Fellowship Glenwood, if you ask us in advance. Please contact Sara Drexler at email@example.com if you need housing. Chattanooga has many wonderful hotels and Airbnb options as well. We are happy to provide recommendations.
MEALS: Lunch and dinner are provided at the church Tuesday through Thursday night (dinner out that night is included). We try to have plenty of coffee, snacks, and fruit available. On Monday, participants eat lunch at the New City Glenwood block party, and dinner at the Nabors’ home. Breakfast is either in homes or on your own.
TRANSPORTATION: If you request it, we may be able to pick you up at the airport or at a bus station (Megabus or Greyhound). Please let us know arrival times in advance. Most of those who come bring their own transportation, but we can shuttle you back and forth if you need our help.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Chattanooga is a tourist destination and is called the Scenic City. There are many sights to see from battlefields to a downtown aquarium, along with many great restaurants. If you arrive early or stay over, we welcome you to either New City Fellowship Glenwood and New City Fellowship Eastlake for worship.
